Deep Robotics has just dropped a bombshell in the robotics world with the launch of their Lynx M20 series, a mid-sized wheeled-legged robot designed to conquer the toughest terrains and hazardous environments. This “industry-grade” robotic platform is packed with cutting-edge tech, blending the speed of wheels with the agility of legs to tackle everything from rugged mountain trails to debris-filled ruins.

Built for the Extreme

The Lynx M20 is a lightweight beast, weighing just 33 kilograms, making it easy to transport. Its AI-powered motion control algorithms allow it to autonomously adjust its posture, ensuring it can handle muddy wetlands, tight corners, or even pitch-black environments with ease. With an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, this robot thrives in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C. Plus, its hot-swappable battery keeps it running for up to 2.5 hours under load or 3 hours without load without needing a recharge break.

What sets the Lynx M20 apart is its versatility. It’s equipped with a 96-beam lidar system for 360° × 90° visibility, enabling high-precision mapping and omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. Whether it’s navigating narrow 50-centimeter corridors or climbing 80-centimeter steps, this robot is ready for action in places where humans and larger robots can’t go.

A Multi-Tasking Powerhouse

The Lynx M20 isn’t just about mobility, it’s a workhorse. With a 15-kilogram effective payload (and a max of 50 kilograms), it’s built for tasks like power line inspections, firefighting, emergency response, logistics, and scientific exploration. Its dual-leg configurations, like the “front-elbow, rear-knee” mode for tight spaces or “full-elbow” mode for stair-climbing, make it adaptable to a wide range of scenarios.

Mao Tang, Deep Robotics’ product manager, sums it up perfectly: “Lynx M20 is a cutting-edge tool to empower industries. We are providing industrial partners with a smart, efficient, and powerful solution to extreme scenarios in their day-to-day work.”

Scalable and Future-Ready

The Lynx M20 is designed with scalability in mind. It comes with auto-charging options, a wide range of expansion ports, and mounting interfaces, ensuring it’s ready for future upgrades. Whether it’s replacing humans in high-risk tasks or boosting efficiency across industries, this robot is poised to make a big impact.

Deep Robotics’ latest innovation is a testament to their mission of pushing robotics technology into real-world applications. The Lynx M20 is more than just a robot it’s a glimpse into the future of intelligent mobility.
