OpenAI announced the integration of GPT-4.1 and GPT-4.1 mini into ChatGPT.

GPT-4.1 excels in coding and instruction following, scoring 54.6% on SWE-bench with a 1M token context window, ideal for large codebases. It’s available to Plus, Pro, and Team users now, subscribers can access the model drop down picker on ChatGPT via the "more models". GPT-4.1 mini will be replacing GPT-4o mini open to all users.

Compared to o4-mini-high ($1.93/M tokens), which scores 58.2% on Aider’s polyglot for code editing and creative tasks, GPT-4.1 ($3.50/M tokens) suits complex projects. Both models passed safety evaluations, with results in OpenAI’s new Safety Evaluations Hub.
