The Humanoid Robot Race
You think there’s only an LLM race? There’s also a low-key Hummanoid Robot Race! In a fight to death, who wins?
The new Atlas, Electric Atlas, is incredibly huge, weighing a massive 180 lbs.
Unitree definitely wins the race in terms of speed, achieving a speed more than twice that of any other robot in the race.
Although, I might be a bit biased toward Phoenix in an overall comparison, since I report directly from our headquarters in Phoenix. Pardon me, ahah. Asides that, Phoenix is heavy and also fast. Rooting for Phoenix!
Oh I forgot to introduce myself, I am Alejandrö, I currently intern here in the Phoenix, Arizona office.
Back to Phoenix robot; it was developed by Sanctuary AI, which were named on TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023 List, last year October.
In long run, it will come down to what this robots can do. Looks like Tesla has a good chance at being the leader, China may be the leading manufacturer of the components.
